Avalon Waterways
Avalon Waterways operates a fleet of European and Asian riverboats built around its Suite Ships design, which turns roughly 80% of the standard stateroom into a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass with an open-air Panorama balcony, rather than the smaller step-out balconies common elsewhere. Itineraries span the Rhine, Danube, Seine, Douro, and Rhône in Europe, along with the Mekong in Southeast Asia.
Fares are all-inclusive of shore excursions, meals, and a house selection of beer and wine with lunch and dinner, and most ships carry under 130 guests, giving Avalon a more intimate feel than some of the larger river cruise lines.
